ACUPRESSURE TECHNIQUES


Acupressure is one of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) technique. TCM is founded on the belief that the individual is a connected whole.

What is Acupressure?
Acupressure, means of facilitating acupuncture-like treatment, however this technique needleless. This technique incorporates massage to sensitive pain points.

What are the benefits of Acupressure?

  • relieving discomfort
  • improving range of motion
  • strengthening, balancing and toning musculature
  • reduce edema (swelling)
  • reducing the sensation of isolation or loneliness through healing touch
  • increasing sensory and intuitive awareness of body signs and signals
  • orienting to self and to the environment
  • reducing anxiety, stress and tension
  • releasing emotion and trauma
  • releasing blocked meridians (energy) to vital organs
  • easing a body posturing that still feels like it needs to protect itself from further assault, further injury or pain
