CAR SEAT CUM FEEDER SEAT

Harga Quotation Kerusi sahaja: RM 2+++
Harga Quotation Kerusi + Meja : RM 4+++

Telan air liur jelah.Sobs...Sobs...Sobs.... Cik Mazni kena lah beli barang Sofea mengikut kemampuan buat masa sekarang ni, sebab banyak lagi GADJET yang diperlukan oleh Sofea.Kesian jugak Sofea yang sekali-sekala nak diajar duduk macam inilah rupa sadis Sofea;

Cara ini Memang Tidak Bagus untuk Tulang Belakang

Disebabkan kesian dekat Sofea, pada hari Khamis yang lepas selepas balik dari sesi terapi di BYS, kak Nina (from The Helping Hand) sudi singgah ke Butik Baby Manja, Ampang.Hasil rembatan adalah seperti berikut;

Testing!Testing!Testing
Car seat/feeder seat ni Cik Mazni "consider as value for money" kerana :

1.Seat ni boleh "recline up to 3 positions".

HAND FUNCTION: SOFEA & OCTOPUS

What is Manual Dexterity?

Manual dexterity is the ability to move the hands with skill and coordination. According to http://www.wisegeek.com (retrieved on 7th May 2012, 02:30), strong fine motor skills such as, writing, sewing and other activities that involve the hands and fingers rely on manual dexterity. In typical young children, manual dexterity is developed through routine activities that also required hand-eye coordination.

A Cerebral Palsy Child usually has weak fine motor skills, occupational therapist often work with a variety of children to improve manual dexterity and fine motor skills. There are a lot of fun games/ activities that can improve manual dexterity (please refer this link).

I chose to buy a toy (wooden peg game that require placing pegs into hole), while browsing the internet I find this website.I chose to have Dexterity Octopus

Why Dexterity Octopus???

It is because Dexterity Octopus is a bright pink wooden octopus game. It is fitted 16 beechwoodpins with different diameters, heights and colors. A fun and different game for training Sofea's fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Actually this game is recommended for age 3 years +.Since Sofea is only 1 year 8 months, her fingers cannot fit all the pins (various sizes).Huhuhu...and she needs my supervision while using Dexterity Octopus.

Super Pink Octopus :-D

Sofea Grasps the Pin Tightly

P/S: Terima Kasih Kak Asmin kerana tolong mazni bawa balik "sensory toys" ke Malaysia.

Cik Mazni: Ok Lah hati lain kali kita sambung lagi, nak bagi mandi Sofea. Pasal isu berterima kasih tu nanti kita cari idea sama-sama ye. Kita kan sehati sejiwa :d

TAHUN BARU AZAM BARU:OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

What is Occupational Therapy?

According to wikipedia,

Occupational therapy is a discipline that aims to promote health by enabling people to perform meaningful and purposeful activities. Occupational therapist work with individuals who suffer from a mentally, physically, developmentally, and/or emotionally disabling condition by utilizing treatments that develop, recover, or maintain clients, activities of daily living. The therapist helps clients not to improve their basic motor functions and reasoning abilities, but also to compensate for permanent loss of function. The goal of occupational therapy is to help clients have independent, productive, and satisfying lives.

Occupational therapy plays a large role in the development of a child with Cerebral Palsy.

1.The job of an OT is to hone the ability of the fine-motor skills and small muscles, which include hands, feet, mouth, fingers and toes.

2. An OT will advise on easier methods of feeding, dressing and everyday mobility.

3.They will suggest specialized equipment your child needs to help him/her in everyday activities, such as modified spoons and cups for easier feeding, toys that will help the development of motor skills and seats, wheelchairs, pushchairs, standing frames, walking frames and side lying boards that will help improve your child's mobility, posture, etc.

4. An OT also helps make your home and community accessible to your child. Many adaptations may needs to be accommodated in order to your child to reach his maximum level of independence.

Mama Sofea Berpendapat Keadaan Sofea Akan Bertambah Baik Sekiranya Kami Gabungkan Fisioterapi Dan Terapi Cara Kerja. Doakan Agar Tahun Ini Adalah Tahun yang Lebih Baik Untuk Sofea.
